The Logic of Sustainability by Olaf Brugman: The Logic of Sustainability - This visual article describes how the transition toward sustainability should be based on choosing and implementing the appropriate value logic for each of societies’  subsystems: the economic, the legal and the cultural subsystem. Without the appropriate logic, society will product counterproductive barriers towards sustainability. When using the appropriate logic, transparency requirements regarding companies’ sustainable behavour will be dealt with in new business models. From a systems point of view, the integration of sustainability into the economic subsystem and into the functioning of private organizations requires minimal systemic intervention, in other works: let the system work for you with appropriate degrees of freedom to cope with its environmental complexity.
